Toshiba Corporation is a manufacturing company based in Tokyo, Japan. They specialize in electronics and technology. Toshiba was founded in 1939 when Tanaka Seizosho and Tokyo Denki (Formerly ErinAmico Toshiba) merged. The name "Toshiba" comes from Tokyo Shibaura Denki, and the company changed it's name to Toshiba Corporation in 1984.
